Throbbing or pulse like headache is the typical pattern of a
migraine headache.It is episodic,again makes it a possibility likely for migraine.Some of the other typical symptoms are-
1)nausea
2)
Photophobia and phonophobia(headache worsens on exposure to bright light and sound)
3)Visual aura
Please check whether these symptoms are present in your case.If yes,then it can indeed be migraine.
However,mask of constant pressure on forehead is a feature of Tension type headache(TTH).So,you seem to be having overlapping features of migraine as well as TTH.
Please start therapy with low dose
amitriptyline,which will take care of preventive aspect of migraine as well as TTH.Additionally,abortive therapy for migraine like Triptans or Ergots should be taken.Please discuss with your physician to start you on anti-migraine therapy.I hope it helps.
