What Causes Constant Productive Cough With Puffiness In Pubic Area?

I had an lappy appy on Friday evening around 8PM. Three items in question: 1. I have a constant cough. It is frustrating and not very productive; 2. brusing up left side of body (I did not have heperin shots post surgery) and 3. pubic area puffy and purple/black with blood. All normal?

Hello,

How long do you have cough for? any associated chest pain? History of inguinal hernia? Cough can be due to allergies, cold, dry air from heating if there are no other associated features. This constant coughing generate lot of pressure over the abdomen that can cause hernia if somehow abdominal wall is weak. Frequent bruising needs to be investigated with simple blood test like Blood Complete picture, BT, PT, APTT and INR tests.

You need to control the cough and see if still there is swelling in the pubic area. To control the cough please follow the below treatment:
- Tab Zyrtec for 10 days
-Warm Saline gargles twice a day for 10 days
-Vicks for steam inhalation twice a day for 10 days
-Dayquil for 10 days
- If your heat is on in the house, make sure you are using humidifier to make it comfortable for your airway

Get your blood work done. If symptoms persists, then please visit your local doctor for further assessment and management.
