What Causes Constant Ringing In My Ears?

I was diagnosed with tennitus about 30 years ago, and several months ago the loudness doubled and the ringing became very intense, to where it hurts my ears when it hits the high pitch which happens later in the day when I feel more tired. I have seen two ear specialist who say I have normal hearing loss for my age of 52. I have also noticed my pulse rate is higher which I feel pulsing in my head. Not sure if they are related.

Thanks for your query . Tinnitus in always accompanied by hearing loss . Means the factors that causes tinnitus also cause hearing loss .

There are certain reasons which causes tinnitus as wellas hearing loss like

- Exposure to loud sound.
- Stressful life .
- Middle ear infection .
- Temporomandibula joint problem or wisdom tooth problem .
- Increase in blood pressure either locally beneath the ear or of the whole body . It can also start pulsating sound in ear .

There is no specific treatment available for tinnitus except some dietary supplements like ginko biloba , which is known to cure tinnitus as well as hearing loss .

There are some condition like increase in blood pressure the can be treated either with medicines or surgically.

Meditation and yoga are very effective in case of tinnitus.
