I have had hip pain for 2 years. It started in my left hip and recently I am having the same pain in my right hip. I had to quit my job because of the pain. I have been to orthopedics, sport medicine, neurologists, etc.. I have also been to Cleveland Clinic. They did needle therapy and PRP shot on me. Now they are sending me to Mayo Clinic. I have been on a cocktail of pain meds for 2 years. I need some relieve!!!!!!! Any suggestions??
Hello dear Greetings Sorry about your pain regarding your experience with bilateral hip pain in spite of being on long term analgesics I am suggesting you have developed the following differential diagnosis Chronic osteoarthritis Lumber spondylitis Spondylolisthesis Spinal cord compression Septic arthritis SLE Hip fracture
In view of this please do the following test CT SCAN MRI TEST LUMBER X-RAY Meanwhile please revisit your orthopaedic specialist with the result and for further expect clinical assessment and re-evaluation of your medication If this fail the a hip replacement surgery is possibly the definitely treatment
I hope this helps Regards and get well soonest
