What Causes Constant Severe Thirst?

I have had the constant feeling of thirst for almost 24 hours. No matter how much I drink, it's never enough. I've been drinking water and kool aid. No pop. Have been urinating near clear. So I know I'm not dehydrated. What do you think could be the problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there,
A persistent thirst can be due to consuming foods rich in sodium-pickles, chips, chinese food, noodles etc. Or can be due to alcohol consumption a night before. If both these are not true for you then yo need to get these tests done-
1) Random blood glucose
2) Serum ADH and serum Na+ levels
If any of these are altered then you will need to be put on medication which will regulate them and that in turn will manage your thirst.

Hope this helps,
You can get the tests done if required and get back to me. I will be happy to help you,
