What Causes Constant Shaking Of Eyes?

My husband has been struggling with both of his eyes shaking consistently for the last two years with little to no other side effects. There was some question at the beginning of a tooth infection, but the tooth in question was removed and antibiotics cleared the infection. The eye shaking never improved. My husband s family has a history of MS with his youngest sister and two cousins. We have seen a neurologist who said it wasn t and neurological disorder because the MRI came back negative, my husband is over 40, and this issue effects both eyes consistently. So, he sent us to an Ear, Nose, & Throat doctor who said he failed one of the inner ear tests, but since there was no loss of hearing, the doctor couldn t confirm. So, the second doctor sent us to a neuropthamologist. The 3rd doctor said we couldn t rule out MS just yet and had my husband take a spinal tap. We just got verbal results back that indicates 2 extra CFS Bands vs Serum and elevated protein levels of 53mg/dl vs the test lab s acceptable range of no more than 45mg/dl. Plus, the 3rd doctor said that there is nothing more he can do and is referencing us to go back to the Neurologist to see if it is an infection or MS. All doctors in our area say that you must have at least 4 bands to be diagnosed with MS even though everything we are reading on line says 2 bands is enough of an indicator. We no longer trust our doctors in our area and don t know where to go next. My husband has already had to give up riding his motorcycle. Driving a car can be risky on bad days. Walking is starting to become a struggle on bad days. The only thing that seemed to help for awhile was Steroids until my husband got a detached retna and Neurontin (anti seizure medicine), but it only reduces the severity of the eye shaking and we are starting to see symptoms worsening. Any help, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Frustrated, but determined:-)
