What Causes Constipation After Discontinuing Antibiotics?

I had abdominplasty and body lift 2 1/2 weeks, ago. I was on percocet for around 10 days. Did not take antibiotics. Experienced constipation for a few days but have had diarrhea for about 5 days. Some chills, no fever. I am more tired not less. What s wrong?

After gastrointestinal surgery, due to direct manipulation of the intestines and due to anesthesia after effects, some time is needed for intestines to kick back in.

Try to start light physical activity now. Take plenty of water fruits whole grain flour and vegetables. Take Lactulose syrup at night for relief.

It will.al improve and get back normal motility of the gut. If nothing works for you please consult your surgeon to see the integrity of the system of digestion.
