What Causes Constipation And Nausea After Undergoing Radiation Treatment For Prostate?

Hi there. I am wondering if I am dehydrated. I have been experiencing naowlusea for the past 4 weeks. I just finished a 6 week course of radiation treatment for my prostate. My psi s are back down to .01. I am a 65 yr old male, pre-diabetic, hx of high cholesterol. on metformin, and cholesterol meds. I take Bayer daily, just one, and almost nothing else. I am overweight, but losing slowly, almost 60 lbs down now. I am experiencing headaches, I drink water mostly during the day, I thought that may be what was causing my nausea I am drinking so much.. I work construction prefabrication in a warehouse, it s hot all day. I also drink 1 yerba mate/day. I eat fruits and veggies with a small sandwich typically at lunch. 1 egg in the morning for breakfast and wheat toast. I have a had bouts of diarrhea and constipation in the last week. It makes me feel weak. The nausea is better after I eat. I am also experiencing a sharp pain in my lower left groin area, made worse when I walk. I took some tums yesterday because the nausea was so bad, it subsided slightly. No blood in stools. Very bloated but not passing gas. I am thinking that maybe I need to be drinking a Gatorade as well because I sweat profusely at work, I thought maybe my electrolytes are off. Thoughts?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome toHCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
Your problem of nausea, maybe related to excess fluid intake. You need to take 10 lasses of liquids daily, plus, amount of fluids according to sweat.
Check your HbA1C, and see your doctor with the report. He will prescribe an anti-flatulent or a laxative to relieve the bloating,
You're welcome to send the report with the medications being taken at present in my name , for an expert opinion.
Wish you well.
