What Causes Constipation & Pain In The Pelvic Area?

Hey, I have gone to emerg with pain in my pelvic area, I had an ultra sound and they said all my tests are normal, my white blood cells were a little high but nothing to worry about I'm on day 4 with pain .. Today has been the worst. I had diarrhea in the morning about 5 times and everytime right before it hurt even more.. Could I have just been constipated, but if I was why is it still hurting?
