What Causes Constipation While On Detox Medications?

I was on a detox med I was supposeto continue it for another week instead I stopped it because it got me constipated for 2days . The first five days everything was fine. But although I stopped takeing the pills since yesterday I'm still constipated and bloated. Why. ?..??
