What Causes Constipation With Anal Fissure After Taking Lisinopril?
I started taking lisinopril ant 2 months ago.Since then my blood pressure is great but I have dealt with constipation & what I think is either anal fissures or hemmoroids.I have used lidocaine & cortisone & started taking a stool softener & trying to drink more water.It seemed to ease up but then I had a somewhat hard bowel movement & it bled with a small stringy clot.i have had blood before but never any clots.I don t know why it happened

If the rectal bleeding is moderate to severe it may be associated with clots. In these cases it is advisable to see a doctor. The doctor needs to check for sings of anemia and if he suspects it he might order a blood test as well to confirm it.

It is constipation that causes the hemorrhoids to bleed and good treatment of constipation is essential in their treatment. Your doctor might add another medication to help with constipation if he finds it necessary after he examines and evaluates you.
