What Causes Constipation With Leg And Ankle Swelling Here?
I just started to try and eat normally fighting anorexia and I m finding not only server constipation but also severe swelling in the ankles and legs...painful....ankles look like tennis balls...please advise...I m proud of myself for trying to eat a normal diet again but am struggling physically.
Hello Welcome here. Anorexia must have resulted in malnourishment. This can lead to ankle and leg swelling. I would also advise you to go for kidney and liver function tests. As your gastric tract was not adapted to regular food intake, niw taking regular meals would have lead to constipation. You can take laxatives for that. Also, i would suggest you to take small but frequent meals, take fibrous foods, avoid fatty abd heavy meals. Visit a physician for further treatment. Hope this helps. Thanks
