Hello,

I would like to know if your wife had a pelvic sonogram after the abortion at the time of check up two weeks later to exclude any retained products. If not done, please go for it immediately.

If retained products are not found, hormone imbalance is the most likely cause and can be treated with correction.

If retained products are found, they need to be expelled to arrest the bleeding. Styptics are only for temporary relief and may not be of much use in the current scenario.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam
