What Causes Continuous Periods After Abortion?

I had a surgical abortion at 6weeks and 4days pregnant on March 8,2014. I had my first menstrual cycle after the abortion on April 7,2014. My cycle ended on April 13th, I spotted for two days and was back full blown like another cycle just as heavy as the one I had on April 7th. It finally stopped on April 22nd. I had pretty bad cramping the week after for a few days and started my cycle on May 10th but my fiance and I were constantly having sex trying to conceive. I would like to know why it didn t happen, could it possibly have been an anovulatory cycle? Is this what I will have from now on since the abortion?

Hi
You had first period after abortion with heavy bleeding is the normal thing. Ideally you should keep 3-6 months gap before planning for next pregnancy. f you have continuous bleeding for more than 15 days...than you should do USG to confirm that any retained products are there or not...You should take T folic acid 5mg continuously before conception to reduce chance of abortion.
And do this tests before planning for next pregnancy TSH,HBA1C,VDRL,
