Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Contusions On Head, numbness On Left Cheek And Twitching Of Eye?
I was recently attacked getting multiple contustions all over my head. About 2 months later I still have numbness in my left cheek and have spasms throughout the day in my left side of my face and can feel it in my left front tooth. My eye has been twitching nonstop and the cartilage in my nose feels numb and constant discomfort. Both eyes feel like they are sagging. The night of the attack I was in the E.R the said it was just just a bunch of contustions.
The symptoms appear to be that of the after effects of trauma. I would advise you to get a MRI done for head and face to rule out any underlying injury however the effects of the injury would resolve slowly in a few days time unless there is an underlying fracture or collection of blood.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
