What Causes Convulsions And Teeth Grinding While Having High Fever In A Child?

Hye...my son is two years old now.whenever he gets high fever he grinds his teeth later that ends up convulsion.so far he got convulsion twice.second time when he got this i noticed this teeth grinding.is that indicate something? For convulsion shud i take any medicine to control it? Please help me.thank you

The condition of ur baby is called febrile convulsions. It is common in few babies but some may recover at some age and for some It may continue for life long.High temperature may alter the chemicals in the brain which may lead to convulsions. Try to reduce the temperature first and don't start antiepileptic.Don't worry.Consult neurologist or paediatricians for that. Baby may need EEG. Hope it may help u.
