What Causes Copper T Strings Not To Be Felt During Intercourse?

Hi, I just got a copper t inserted on 10/05/12 (4th day of periods), after which I had intercourse with my husband on 17th & 18th of may. He did not feel the strings when he checked. What do I do? Should I see a doc or is it normal? I just know that the strings are cut short. Am tensed, pls help!
