What Causes Cord Around The Neck Of The Fetus During Pregnancy?

hello unexpectedly my wife got Scissor First day of the 8 th month and the baby couldny survive. when doc examined the baby is in reverse position and baby has 2 times chord round the neck, i got shocked that as the baby position is normal upto 7 th month check up why it happed suddenly please let me know what could be the reason

Hi,
Thank you for the query. I understand your concern.
Baby is attached to mothers blood circulation by umbilical cord...while cord joins placenta a junction between mother's circulation and fetal circulatlion.. & placenta is attached to uterine wall.
Now fetus is moving freely in uterine cavity.. while being pivoted to placenta bu umbilical cord... in such condition fetal movements can cause a loop around fetal neck at any moment... &this may turn fatal if the loop is tightened around neck.
The only way out is to get LSCSdone in time & s ave the baby. Your doctor had trie.d the same.
So please don't be scared.The incidence was just a coincidence & need not repeat.You will definitely have a boney sby next time. Plan it according to your gynecoligist.
