What Causes Cough And Breathlessness Even After Having Adenoid Surgery?

Hi, i am a b0y and age 14.i had a very bad cough some days ago.when i was sleeping suddenly i stood up and cry because i didn t take breath.then a ent doctor told that it is adenoid.then i have adenoid oparetion.yet i have a bad cough n0w.what is i am doing now?

Hello,

There are many causes for cough at night:
1. Allergic bronchitis
2. Episodic asthma
3. Cough varient asthma
4. Post nasal discharge etc.

Avoid cool water and spicy food. Use tablet. levocetrizine for five days. Use bronchodilators like deriphylline at night. If no improvement, please consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
