What Causes Cough And Chest Pain Despite Having COPD And GERD?

I have copd. I also have gerd.. I have had a cough that doesn t go anywhere for couple months and my chest hurts. Between my lung doctor and my reg. doctor I have had antibioyics for quite awhile. I am now on 10 mg or prednisone....Oh andI also have what was thought to be an extra heartbeat but after wearing a monitor they aren t sure and i take80 mg of sotaloh Hcl tab teve.. plus an alergy pill and now mucinex 12 hr...none have seemed to help the cough or hurting in chest... I give up.. What is it? Had a chest xray today I am so sorry. Didn t know i had to pay

Hello,

In my opinion, the first cause of the cough is GERD. Cold is also an added cause of chronic cough. You should just take control of the diseases with the exact treatment and you will be better for sure.
