What Causes Cough And Dryness In The Throat?

Its actually recurring and I m not going to lie I occasionally drink alot and smoke and recenty I ve been having only dry coughs and dry throat constantly and also a random jolt or pulse in my right temple here and there and I think I m just withdrawing but I feel like I could be sick as well? I m sorry its so vague, I m sure it could be a lot from my bad habits

Is this issue involving also your eyes? Do you feel your eyes are particularly dry? If yes, although remote, I would suggest you to see a rheumatologist since it may be a Sjogren disease. Are you on any drug medication? If not, please perform a Schirmer test, ENA, ANA, C3,C4, urinalysis, and an ultrasound of salivary glands. Let me know,
