What Causes Cough And Swollen And Chapped Lips?

I have had swollen lips and a cough for sometime, lips feel chapped and dry to me, but they aren t. I cough at night and chook on everything even water. I have hot sweats but always cold feet. Weak legs and drop in bp and sugar. I was recently diagnosed with RA, Fibromyalgia and I have Cirrochsois. A lot of these symptoms are new but the lip thing is driving me nuts!

Hello,

It is the underlying fibromyalgia which causes the auto immune disturbances with presentation. Supportive measures to quick result orientation
- maintain hydration with plenty of liquids
- local application of petroleum jelly or honey over lips
- gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil
- cough formulations with dextromethorphan or codeine
- lozenges with menthol or else
- avoidance of smoking (active or passive) if involved
- control of blood sugar, pressure

Discuss about use of specific medications as monoclonal antibodies or other disease modifying drugs in this issue.
