What Causes Cough, Mild Headaches, Sickness, Fever, Joint Pains After A Bite?

Something bit me a couple months ago. After 10 days I developed a cough and I still have it. I m also getting frequent mild headaches. My symptoms are mild but I feel like I m sick with something I ve never had before, which I felt when I developed tropical diseases after visiting Baja and Mexico. Sometimes it feels like fever, my head feels cloudy, low energy. I don t seem to have a fever, even though it sometimes feels like I do in my head (no chills.) A few mild pains in my joints, which is not normal for me. I do not get allergies. The bite was about the size of a dime. The center was slightly raised and looked white. It was surrounded by a red circle that was slightly depressed. One doctor said it looked like Lyme and gave me 2 weeks antibiotics. The symptoms developed while I was on antibiotics and seemed to get a little worse when I stopped. The bite mark has gone away by now. I was told that meant there was nothing to worry about but this cough has now lasted more than 6 weeks and I feel like I m a little sick, this is not normal!
