What Causes Cough Post A Uterus Surgery?

I am asking for my auntie 3years back she have uterus operation removed his uterus then chemo therapy also taken. Now last three months she had a cough problem now doctor saying prolution depot hydro progesterone injection should take once in a week. Kindly tell me what s a problem, any side effects in injection and dosage.
