What Causes Cough, Shortness Of Breath And Pain In The Chest?
I am a 42 year old female. my resting heart rate is currently 104 bpm. i have a mild cough and pain in my left hand side of my chest mirrored in my left hand side of my back. shortness of breath that comes and goes. over the last 24 hours my heart rate has gone from 86bpm then 96bpm, then 104 bpm, 93 bpm.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cough, shortness of breath and pain in the chest. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like asthma , chest infection or acid reflux , but in your case the it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to cardiac problem like angina . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist without any delay to rule out serious condition like heart attack . Doctor may order ECG , TMT along with complete blood profile and troponin t test . Doctor may prescribe isosorbide nitrate , beta blockers , aspirin along with sedatives and diuretics . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist for asthma or pulmonologist for lung infection . For now stay calm and take proper rest .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
