Hi,

Your long running symptoms with cough with blood clot indicates a detailed respiratory examination and investigations. It can be severe sinus infection with involvements of throat and ear infection / possibly a more serious condition like pneumonitis or TB infection. Whatever it is, blood clot in sputum is a concerning thing. Please consult an ENT surgeon / chest physician for through evaluation of your health followed by cause specific treatment. Methodical check up and sufficient specific treatment would help you out.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
