General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.

Noted your history about 10 year old daughter having coughing, catarrh and slight temperature for 3 weeks.
3 weeks is a long time to suffer in spite your GP has given antibiotic.
The cause may be related to sinusitis, adenoiditis or so which takes time to recover.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and ENT Endoscopy.
X-ray or CT/MRI for adenoids and sinuses.
Tests of blood for WBC, typhoid, culture and sensitivity.
Any other tests as would be advised.
A proper course of antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicine and decongestant should be added on.
Identify the foods and beverages that increase the problems and stop altogether.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
