Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having hemoptysis (blood in sputum).
And most common cause for this is lung infection.
So in my opinion, you are mostly having worsening of lung infection.
In my opinion, you should consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray with abdominal shield (to prevent radiation exposure to your developing baby?
3. Sputum culture to isolate the causative organisms and sensitivity report to guide effective antibiotic therapy.
4. Sputum examination for AFB (acid fast bacilli-bacteria causes tuberculosis) because tuberculosis can also cause hemoptysis.
Don't worry, with appropriate treatment, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
