Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Any severe infection( cough) can cause blood in sputum.

Montair is a prophylactic medication can be cused for allergy or asthma or resistent cough due to any infection.

In my view, need to continue montair and cough syrup, visit your treating doctor for changing the antibiotic.

all the best, take care.
