What Causes Coughing Up Of Blood?

Hi ! My name is Sandy. It was happened 3 days ago .when I was eating I felt like something stuck in my throut. The foods that I ate were raw kale , rice and drumsticks.I tried hard to cough it out.I coughed up a lot of blood.I was so scared then I went to the hospital right away.I got an xray on my throut.It was normal, but why I am feeling hurt on my food pipe and my chest when I swallow foods or drink.I wanted to burb all the time.I am just scared when I cough up a lot of blood.

Thanks for contacting HCM. You recently had trauma to your esophagus from the food you ate. This trauma is probably a tear from the forcible coughing and retching. This will take some time to heal. I recommend to help with the healing that you go on a liquid diet. This will allow your esophagus to heal properly.
