What Causes Coughing Up Of Blood?

I have a 27 year old male smoker, who smokes to much. He cannot afford to go see a doctor sadly. It's almost been 60 days, and every time he coughs, he's spitting up blood. He won't tell his family, just me. I can't even help him, we live in two different countries. Any help with this, would be greatly appreciated. His friends gave him bronchial mucolytic 100 ml, mebeverine hydrochloride capsules 200 mg, and paracetamol 500 mg - which I know is the same as Tyelonol.

Thank you.

Hi
Coughing blood is called hemoptysis, a dangerous condition when small artery gets eroded due to carbon deposition and air cells destruction or bronchial tubes get inflamed leading to erosion.
Stopping smoking, steam inhalation and addition of antibiotics and anti allergic like levocetrizine 5 mg, asthalin 4mg twice daily shall help.An X-rays chest PA view and consulting chest physician is very necessary. An anxiolytics like alprax 0.5 mg once at bed time
