What Causes Coughing Up Of Greenish Sputum?
I have been coughing up A LOT of sputum. I came home from the hospital 2 days ago. Since then I ve been bringing up loads of gunk. 2 friends stopped to see how I was feeling. One friend says that if your sputum is dark yellow or greenish it mean.a. that you are getting better. The girl says she thinks it s getting worse. Which is it please?

Yellow or green colored sputum is suggestive of infection. I suggest you to get sputum culture to isolate infectious agent and culture sensitivity to select the most suitable antibiotic.
