What Causes Cough, wheezing And Bad Taste In Mouth?

my husband has been sick since May with wheezing, dry (hard cough), exhausted and a bad chemical taste in his mouth. He has seen an allergist, hematologist and pulmonologist. They said his blood work has come back positive for Whooping Cough, but that it s not contagious. He just can t seem to knock this thing and seems to be getting worse. Any advice? And if he does have whooping cough would the bad taste and wheezing come with it?

thanks for your question
i completely understand your question
whooping cough (pertussis) is a highly contagious respiratory tract infection. In many people, it's marked by a severe hacking cough followed by a high-pitched intake of breath that sounds like "whoop."
If doctors diagnose whooping cough early on, antibiotics can help cut down coughing and other symptoms. They can also help prevent the infection from spreading to others. Most people are diagnosed too late for antibiotics to work well, though.

Don't use over-the-counter cough medicines, cough suppressants, or expectorants (medicines that make you cough up mucus) to treat whooping cough. They don't work.
consider consulting a pulmonologist, he can prescribe you medicines regarding the same
