What Causes Cracking And Tightness In Foreskin Of A Diabetic Patient?

hi... i had a problem with my foreskin cracking because of diabetes, and my foreskin was too tight, i was adviced by docter to get control the diabetes first, and after that do circumstance, a year back i did that, i was ok, but now, i m getting crack in the neck of glans....hope whenever i drink only....but i m keeping my diabetes on control with the help of medicine while drinking..too... y this happens, pls advice

Hello,

A circumcised patient with cracking of forehead of glans indicate poor control of diabetes with recurrent fungal infection most likely.

My guidelines at present
- hygienic care of penis
- strict control of diabetes
- swab culture of the penile skin or possible discharge from suspicious areas
- complete course of antibiotics, anti fungal and supportive therapy
- nutritious diet with proper zinc and vitamins to boost immunity
- avoidance of unprotected sex (if active)
