What Causes Cracking In Left Foot When Pressure Is Applied?

I like to run a lot, but occasionally my left foot will start cracking every time i push off with it. It doesnt hurt and i can still run fine, but it has been there for about a year now and im just wondering what it could be. Im 19 years old and very active with all types of sports.
