What Causes Cracking Noise In Lungs While Laughing And Cough While Breathing?

I swallowed a pill and it went down the wrong way. I was checked and had no infection but a small amount fluid in one lung. i went on vacation an could not stop coughing and yesterday we notice that it crackles in my lungs with a breathe in when coughing then i started getting very short of breath occasionally during the day plus very little appetite. I do have moderate COPD and am on Advair and i ve have not had any issues We decided to leave our amazing 14 day vacation and come home. I am seeing my physician tomorrow.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
It is unrelated to pill. It could be an upper respiratory tract infection. You can take antibiotics like amoxclav for symptomatic relief. Expectorant cough syrup can also be tried.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
