What Causes Cramp Behind Ears Radiating To The Neck?
Hi, I experienced an awkward cramp behind my right ear leading to my neck, a few days ago. Since then, my inner right ear and bottom of my skull has been hurting. Excedrin has not worked. Yesterday, I hit the top of my right cheek bone on the frame of my car door, while leaning over to put my laptop on the seat. I experienced a terrible pain across the whole back of my skull. Today. only my right inner ear leading to my right bottom side of my skull still hurts. Does this sound like a pulled muscle or a need to visit the emergency room
Pain behind the ear, severe pain at the back of the head on hitting on the right cheek, inner ear pain all can be due to the following reasons: Neurological due to a pinched nerve or so. Muscular strain of neck causing nerve pinching is also possible. Referred pain from sinusitis. Hence I would suggest you the following in such a situation: Consult your Doctor or go to Emergency Room for clinical evaluation, an actual examination so that an appropriate clinical diagnosis is made. This will help to do further investigations if necessary like MRI of brain, neck, mastoids and thus helps to get an appropriate management. Also check for blood pressure as Hypertension can cause such problems. Ophthalmic checkup to rule out any cause in eyes that can cause such pains.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
