What Causes Cramping In Arm And Knee Along With Soreness In Body?

hello i can home today and my husband said he's right hand started cramping while he was in the shower and he thought it was going to break it was cramping so hard. he then said he went to his knees and when he woke up he was in the floor outside the shower he got up and is sore allover and he as some point bit his tongue. he says he is fine now only sore what do you think may have happened and do you think he should go to the hospital ? thanks, michelle
