What Causes Cramping In Calf And Tingling On Left Side Of Body?
I went to er last night with tingling on left side and chest discomfort. they did blood work ekg and chest xray, including a d dimer blood test and all came back normal. tonight, i am experiencing a cramping feeling in my left calf. do I need to be concerned about a blood clot?
If the pain is consistent or it is associated with additional symptoms/signs such as swelling, redness ,tenderness and increased warmth then it you should be assessed. Blood clots in the veins of leg can be assessed by physical examination and a test called a doppler ultrasound which would take a look at the veins present.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Experiencing tingling sensation and cramps in the chest and calf respectively could be mainly due to calcium deficiency, which causes muscle twitching and spasms. There may be associated alteration in serum electrolyte levels also, particularly the potassium level. Kindly take calcium supplementation in the form of tablets or syrup. Also consume electrolyte powder dissolved in water for next few days. Drink a glass of milk at bedtime, which is rich source of calcium. Also supplement with intake of calcium rich foods. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
