What Causes Cramping Pain In The Groin And Thighs?

My husband gets severe cramping in his leg muscle inner upper thigh next to his groin. the muscle gets hard and stiff for a few minutes, then slowly goes back to normal. he drinks lots of water and eats bananas. he does take alot of medications. what can I do to help him?

You mentioned he takes a lot of medications. What are they specificically for?
I would advise you to get a thyroid panel. Also check his vitamin d and serum calcium along with electrolyte levels. It may give us a clue to the problem.
