What Causes Cramps After Using Essure ?

hi my name is courtney and i had the essure done july 9th and i had the dye test done on october 8th and i bleed for 9 days and then i started to bleed again on october 23 i was woundering if you could answer my question why am i bleeding again im confused i wanted my tubes tied but my doctor said that the essure was safer to use and ever sence i had the essure done ive had pains like cramping alot and the doctor said that everything looks fine im starting to wounder if i made the right choice about the essure

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Irregular bleeding and spotting is common after ligation of tubes and is known as post ligation syndrome.
Essure is a good procedure for the ligation of tubes, and is associated with minimal complications.
I suggest you to observe for 6 months, if irregular spotting still continues, then you should get investigated for the other causes of irregular periods.
