What Causes Cramps And Spotting While On Low Dosage Of Estradiol?

I have been on low dosage estrodiol for 3 months. cramping and spotting. stopped x4 days. will see if the spotting and cramping subsides before overreacting. if need to get biopsy, can it be done under sedation? i really truly do not want to go through the pain and agonizing over it.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the cramps and spotting are in relation with possible issue of endometrial or myometrial region. The endometrial biopsy can be surely done under short general anesthesia (provided patient is fit for anesthesia) provoking, sedation as that through Midazolam or Ketamine with dissociative effects.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
