General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. At 37 weeks pregnancy, lower abdominal cramps are common due to decent of fetal head in pelvic cavity. The pressure of head on urinary bladder may lead to dark coloured urine. This is your $th delivery- you must have noted that as labor pains start, the pains get stronger & more frequent./ Vaginal discharge gets more copious/ mixed with blood. Though every pregnancy is different, it's wise to be careful & avoid early child birth-specially when baby weight is not sufficient, after an experience of one reference to neonatal intensive care unit. I would advise you to get checked up by your doctor / get Usg abdomen for fetal maturity & weight.& have expectant treatment/ observation till you get strong labor pains. Thanks.
