What Causes Cramps In Arms And Hands While On Prednisone For Takayasu S Arthritis?
I have takayasu s Arteritis, diagnosed in May 2014. Was placed on prednisolone 60 mg/alday for 30 days, then graduallowing. Currently on 6 mg/day, feducing by 1mg/day every 1st of the month. this last drop in dosage, August, tp 6mg....on the 6th day I was extremely pale, faint, cramping of both arms and hands...now it is the 9th---extremely lethargic, arms, exhausted...short of breath...should I be concerned or just sit tight?

Hello,
It is unlikely related to predenisone. Vasculitis itself can cause pain. An arterial doppler Js required to rule out vascular occlusive diseases.
