Hello,

You are in menopausal phase and are experiencing pain in the right leg and also at the front of the thigh. You take 2-4 cups of caffeine a day. Caffeine causes excess urination and may contribute to dehydration that triggers muscle cramps in the legs. A strain or bruise of the quadriceps can also cause pain in the thigh area. Sciatica in L3 leads to pain in the front of the thigh. Older women are more prone to leg cramps due to imbalance of minerals, lack of physical exercise, circulation problems, etc.

Get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray spine and if required MRI and other investigations done. Get bone density tests done to detect developing osteoporosis. You will be accordingly treated. You can take pain relieving medicines, naproxen or Combiflam, one stat when needed. In the meantime, take food good for the nerves in your regular diet, food rich in vitamin B6, B12. You can take supplements also. Leg cramps are treated with continuous intake of calcium / magnesium supplements or by taking calcium/magnesium rich diet. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
