Had the medical management the week later, then 4 days got rushed into hospital as still has 4cm off tissue left so had theatre. Now been 2 weeks and 3 day since surgical removal and experiencing cramps on my right side/ovary area..Really confused could It be a conception pain as it s been 7 days since we started trying to conceive again, or a period cramp just on the side? I m not ovulating I have tested. Also when we first fell pregnant was through ivf. Thanks in advance

Hello,

The most likely cause of the pain could be an involuting uterus. The second likely possibility is an impending period. Ovulation is unlikely to return so soon. It usually takes two or three weeks at the earliest. If you had a follow-up sonogram to ensure completion of the process of evacuation of the retained products of conception, and if the status of the pelvic organs is normal, please inform your health care provider for further treatment. Antispasmodic medication is useful to control pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam
