What Causes Cramps,abdominal Pain And Lengthy Mucus Like Pale Discharge?

I have been having the worst cramps of my life the past three days. They hurt so bad I have been crying. I keep the heating pad on my abdomen and stay in bed. My period has also been heavier than ever before. I just went to use the bathroom and something abnormal came out. I put it in a tissue and poked it with a q-tip. It was maybe (probably less, though) an inch long, rubbery, sort of peach colored. Did I have a miscarriage??? I feel so sick. Please let me know what is wrong.
