Hello,

You are suffering from crawling sensation and itchiness in the skin. Your symptoms are indicative of mental or medical health problems, side effects of certain medicines or recreational drugs you have been taking, due to use of illegal substance or physical ailments. Physical ailments like peripheral neuropathy, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, shingles, fibromyalgia, etc., can also cause such symptoms.

It can also be caused due to mental conditions like depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, etc. Formication is commonly treated by treating the underlying physical or mental cause. Do not take medicines that trigger your symptoms. Formication that occurs from drug use or withdrawal resolves on its own, once the drug use has stopped and the body has detoxed.

Get connected to a detox center. Get clinically examined by a GP, get required tests and investigations done to treat any chronic illness that has not been detected or treated. If required you will be referred to a Psychiatrist or a Counsellor to treat tactile hallucinations. Neglect can lead to difficulty sleeping, skin wounds, irritability, and poor quality of life.

Mental health conditions can be treated with medication and counseling while shingles is treated with antiviral medications. Get treated any progressive disease (lupus or peripheral neuropathy), control your blood sugar level at all cost.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
