What Causes Crusty Eyelids And Constant Drainage?

I had sever flu like symptoms after taking actonel and also sever eye inflammation which included crusty eyelids and constant drainage. Went to doctor and he took me off actonel, gave me some antibiotic ointment for the eye. It cleared up, but occasionally flares up. If this is caused by actonel, how long will I be plagued by the symptoms?

You had bacterial conjunctivitis and blepharitis. You have to start ofloxacin.3% eye drop 6hourly. Neosporine eye ointment to be applied at bed time. manta in hygiene of face and eye. Clean lid margin with sterile swab. In ten days you should be alright.
