What Causes Cuts And Stinging Sensation In Belly Button During Pregnancy?
Hi, I am about 12 weeks pregnant, and had an ultrasound today. This afternoon, I felt a stinging sensation near my belly button, and discovered that on either side I have what appeared to look sort of like cuts, that were slightly red, and sting quite a bit. I m not sure what it is, exactly, but it is very much like what my lips would feel like when they are dry and crack. Just stings a lot. I have not had any itching or smell that I am aware of.

They are called straiae gravidarum, or in simple words stretch marks that accompany pregnancy. Nothing to worry about at all.
